Flower Girls On The Fruit Display

The Flowers Girls have been made of apples to decorate a fruit display at the children party. The smilimg cute faces are carved with a thai knife.

Watermelon Basket With Fruits And Apple Carvings

The watermelon basket and the apples were made for Taisia, a 5 year old girl, to her birthday party.

The watermelon basket is filled with grapes, mandarins, kiwi, and decorated with apple flowers. There are flowers of zig-zag cut oranges around the basket.

And none of my displays go without carved apples. Here are cute characters of Disney world.

Watermelon T-Rex Dinosaur

 A small watermelon has served for the T-Rex dinosaur, a Jurassic themed fruit snack made for a kids party.

This is a truly terrible lizard with sharp teethes and diabolic eyes watching the food.

How to make the Dino watermelon and the Jurassic fruit snack

Fruits:
watermelon for the head of the dino
lime and cumquat for eyes
almond for teethes
oranges, apples, mandarins, kiwi, and grapes for the fruit platter

Tools to use:
a big knife to cut watermelon
a baller to remove the watermelon red
a thai knife and V-knive to decorate fruits on platter

Disney Themed Food Idea. Apple Carving Gifts

Two dozens of the cute Disney themed apples made a kids party in the playschool.

 

I carved more than 20 images of the different characters, they are Winny the Pooh, Stich, Mickey, Pumba, Olaf, Minion and the others.

 

Each apple is packed into a plastic wrap to be prevented from browning and then into a gift wrap.

Great Updates: A Personal Exhibition, Fruit Carving Tutorial and Shopping Time

I am proud to announce that I am scheduled for a personal exhibition at Sakhalin Art Museum in December 2014 - January 2015. I will present soap carving art works and fruit carving displays. I team up with my friend who is a painter and a craftwoman to do installations involving her paintings and crafts, my ikebana skills and our vision for art.

The other great news, I have written a book.

This is a tutorial on making fruit carving models and displays for children. This book is a collection of my best selling fruit ideas invented for Baby Showers and children's birthdays, and it covers 3 year creative work experience of mine. There are lot of step-by-step pictures and detailed comments about the process in the tutorial.
The English text was fine-tuned by my friend Kathleen Richardson from Corning New York, USA, so reading the book will bring you a pleasure.

Samurai Fruit Tower

I have a customer Tatiana. Her children love japanese anime very much. Last year I did Totoro fruit display for her daughter. This year she asked for something cool for her son.

When we discussed what the fruit display could be, Tatiana showed me a photo of a Samurai cake. That cake was created by Buddy Valastro,  a star of Cake Boss TV show on TLC. Tania's son got crazy about the Samurai when he saw it on tv. So we thought that he would be happy to get a Samurai fruit tower for his birthday. 

My Samurai has a watermelon head and a pumpkin helmet.

The tower size is 45x45x70 cm.

Easter Basket With A Bunny Of Fruits

Would you love to have a pair of the long pink ears pop up at your Easter table? I have ones made from fruits. It's an Easter Bunny sitting in the Easter basket with eggs.

The Bunny is made from the yellow apples and a pear.  It's a very easy fruit craft so you can invite your children to help with it.

Chip-n-Dale Fruit Idea

Chip-n-Dale fruti idea

Chip and Dale, the famous Disney's characters, jumped into a fruit tray. 

This is my latest project made for 1 year bithday of a boy named Artiom (or Tyomka for short). This Chip-n-Dale fruit display is a perfect idea for baby shower as well. 

There are fruit sculptures of Chip and Dale playing football (soccer) in a fruit football field. The fly Zipper sits on a watermelon and watches the game.

Materials:

The scultures of Chip, Dale and Zipper are made of apples. 

Chip is wearing Indiana Jones hat made of pumpkin.

Dale is wearing a Hawaiian shirt with carrot flowers.

Hello everyone!

Do you know this little boy named Pocoyo? He is a main character of  the Spanish-British pre-school animated television series.

Pocoyo was a theme of a party of 1-year-old client of mine.
The characters of the film carved in fruits, Pato the duck is crafted from oranges and carrot,
Elly the elephant is made of red apples. Pocoyo the boy is carved in watermelon.
