This fruit tray was made for a child boy's birthday. It is garnished with my favorite fruit decorations for kids, which are sculptures made of oranges and apples, Teddy Bear and Auntie Owl.

Wedding Fruit Display With Heart Candle Light

This is my new wedding design. The top of the display is a pumpkin heart with a candle behind the sculpture. When it gets dark the candle witl lighten the decorative centerpiece.

Last year I did 3D pumpkin heart sculpture. That heart consisted of two halves.

Easter Basket With A Bunny Of Fruits

Would you love to have a pair of the long pink ears pop up at your Easter table? I have ones made from fruits. It's an Easter Bunny sitting in the Easter basket with eggs.

The Bunny is made from the yellow apples and a pear.  It's a very easy fruit craft so you can invite your children to help with it.

60th Anniversary Fruit Display With Gold Carp Sculptures

Gold Carps, Lotus and Water Symbols

This fruit display was designed for a 60th anniversary of a Korean man. I decorated the display with lotus and gold carp sculptures which are the powerful symbols in asian culture. The wavy pattern in the watermelon is the water element. It unites all decorations in one display with a deep meaning.

Lotus flowers are carved out of daikon (japanese radish) and colored with a food coloring. There is a carrot flower in the center.

Carps are sculptured out of pumpkin. They are decorated in both face and back sides. These fish require a good thai knife, U-knife and a steady hand in carving.

Korean Traditions in Sakhalin Island

In my previous post I wrote a little about birthday traditions.
60 year old birthday is a very important date for asian people. It's a big event with lot of guests.

I am sharing few photos of a head table. Traditionally it should be decorated in rich and bright ways, with pyramids of food and sweets.
In the begining of the event a big korean family take photographs at the table. Later the treats will be given away to the guests.

At the event I met Anna, a balloon designer and body painting artist. In the photo below she is arranging a spiral pillar of the balloons. In 2011 Anna helped me with painting my model at Eco-Fashion Show.

Sweet Tower With Berries

Dear Reader,

In my blog you have seen different types of towers made of fruits, macaronies and sweets. 

My latest tower creation is a mix of fruits and baking. To be precise it is a mix of berries and baking.

This tower looks like a real cake garnished with different berries. The largest berry in here is a watermelon.

The tower's layers are decorated with bisquits covered with white icing.

This display was designed for a  45 year old woman's birthday party which was a Berry Theme Party. It was a challenging work because I had a task to present nicely the berries as strawberry, red currant, blueberry, raspberry, blackberry and watermelon. I had no better idea than the cake tower.

The inscription in watermelon shares a popular russian saying that in the age of 45 a woman has a second youth and she is good again as a berry.

Age of 50 is considered as Golden Age for both male's and female's birthdays. See a fruit display "Golden 50'" .

Asian people celebrate 60 year old birthday. This date is a very important day for them. I often do fruit displays for 60 year old partyies. Usually these events are decorated in golden color here in my city.
