Mukimono is a traditional japanese art of carving vegetables and food garnishing. Some of the japanese garnishes are simple and easy to do and some other methods are intricated. Carrot, daikon or cucumber help to complete a look of a dish when you know a couple of special Mukimono techniques.

I was actually looking for garnishing techniques on Google and this was one of the first results, but I am afraid sometimes Google is not that effective on their search engines, because this is not what I was trying to find. Still, the entry was very interesting and at least didn't waste my time reading it!
